Submitted for your consideration, this midcentury high speed motion picture camera used for scientific and government motion analysis applications. Made by Fairchild Camera and Instrument Company in the USA, Model MS-401.
Rare red color is factory original, sold complete with lens and shade as shown.
This will make an uncommon focal point display piece on a tripod (sold additionally) or on a table or shelf.
The look says it all. An original artifact of the early years of the Space Race. We think this camera was likely used for tracking experimental aircraft at Pratt Whitney Test Grounds in Fort Worth Texas.
