Offered for your serious consideration is this circa 1902 Enterprise Optical Manufacturing Company’s 35mm Optigraph #2 Motion Picture Projector head with original lens and film feed arm with original reel.

Enterprise Optical was founded in Chicago in 1890 by Alvah Roebuck (The engineering genius of the later Sears-Roebuck Company). The company evolved and was later to manufacture the line of Motiograph iconic theater projectors.

This very rare example, patented July 4, 1899, is supplied as the hand crank picture head with original focusable lens, table stand, crank, gate, feed reel arm and original reel only.

There is no lamphouse included but when these projectors were in original use, acetylene gas was used to light up the lamphouse and illuminate the projected film image.

A wonderful cinema artifact for display at home, office or in your media room.

Museums and private collectors please take note.
