Cinema Film Rewind by Neumade Circa 1930’s Mounted for Display With Film Spool
Submitted for your appreciation is this early century cinema film rewind complete with a 100′ film spool.
This rewind was designed and built by Neumade Products and was the standard of the motion picture industry for film handling equipment in the early 20th century.
Neumade was founded in 1916 by Oscar F. Neu , an actor in silent films. The company was incorporated in 1924 in New York State.
Neumade progressed from a source for film exchange and cutting room equipment to the largest manufacturer of a complete line of film handling, servicing, cleaning, storage, and accessories for the motion picture, television, education, commercial, and photographic industries.
The beautiful original paint has NOT been restored, only polished and is all original as is the iconic yellow wood rewind handle and chromed reel spindle.
Working perfectly and mounted on an oiled sandstone base with felt feet, this example is a perfect display for a bookshelf, desk, table or in the media room.
A true historic piece of iconic filmmaking history.
We see very few in this fine condition, without molestation or without strong patina from decades of hard use.
Some have said this piece looks like new.
