German Metal Cinematographers Camera Case, Circa Mid-20th Century, Rare Finish

Submitted for your consideration is this original mid-century German made Arriflex had hammered and hand riveted finish metal cinema equipment carry case.

This was the most expensive way to house cinema equipment back in the mid-century. Intended for an Arriflex 16ST camera body and the cinematographers smaller accessory equipment. This piece has gorgeous patina from age and professional use, but is very clean and solid. It was found in storage with other pristine motion picture equipment we recently added to our gallery collection in Dallas.

We have others of these in well patinated condition and all sizes (please ask).

Makes for a wonderful industrial display piece placed in a corner near a tripod mounted camera. Very decor usable due to its small-medium size. We have several of these in other sizes for a “stacked” presentation display.

An iconic example of a vintage case that harkens back to the look of Deco industrial design.
