Offered for your consideration is this rare Moviola, Model D, 35mm Motion Picture Film Editing Machine, Circa 1932.

Included with this piece of Iconic Hollywood Motion Picture Equipment is the AC power cable, two chrome finished vintage reels with 35mm motion picture film, actuation switch controls for forward and reverse movement, a foot actuated control pedal with cable, a working film illumination lamp house, an original leather reel arm drive belt and an original On-Off switch.

Fully operational and has a history of early 20th century manufacture and then re-used by the military into the 1950s.
Very likely used to edit newsreel film footage during World War II in its later life.

The letter “D” in the model description denotes the “Directors” model and very few of these exist. This is the only Directors model we have seen in the past 45 years. Manufactured by the Moviola Division of H.W. Houston and Company. Los Angeles CA, USA.

Use as an iconic sculpture in home, office, studio.
