Submitted for your consideration is this wall sculpture of Sylvania, Zenith and G.E. TV and Radio tubes dating back to the mid-20th century.
The sculptural display by Bill Reiter has empty originally printed vintage TV and radio tube boxes with a center section of six actual glass tubes that were used to make the old TV sets work.
This collage work of “Component Art” is a wonderful assemblage of vintage, rare old tech objects and artifacts.
Vintage tubes and vintage boxes offer a beautiful patchwork collage of mid century design and electronics. Nice boxes are especially hard to find and this work of “Component Art” speaks to the primitive technology and detailed design of the 1940s and 1950s.
Note that the photoflash has created glare on some photos of the boxes but rest assured that these boxes are original old stock with normal shelf wear and as pretty as one can find some 70 years later.
The vintage TV artifacts are attached to a dark brown wood style frame with a board back. Ready to hang in your home or office.
