Offered for your consideration is this Akeley 35mm Motion Picture Camera with a geared reflex tracking device.
These were used during WW-2 and after for the military filming of aerial devices such as planes and missiles.
This rare camera was made by the Akeley Camera Company whose history in building cinema cameras goes back to the 1920s.
Overall in nice original condition with some small parts missing but still a unique and gorgeous display piece with lots of mass and history to it.
This antique combines the venues of cinematography, aerial flight tracking, and militaria in one superb piece. Very heavy and built to take the rigors of military wartime usage.
Perfect to mount on a tabletop, pedestal or tripod for an effective display piece.
